2020 Five Star “Virtual” Aloha Gala

The Hawaiʻi Chamber of Commerce of Northern California will have our Annual Five Star Aloha Gala on Thursday, October 22nd, 2020. This is our organization’s signature event and serves as a venue for honoring individuals and organizations with our Kūlia I Ka Nuʻu (Strive for the Summit) Award for contributions in promoting the Aloha Spirit throughout Northern California and beyond.

With the current realities surrounding travel and in-person events, we will host this year’s event online as a Virtual Aloha Gala. While we will miss seeing everyone in person, we will be able to reach and bring together a wider and larger group of people across Northern California, Hawaiʻi, and beyond, at a time when we need the community to come together more than ever. All proceeds go to helping fund our scholarship program foundation and organization.

The virtual gala will feature live Hawaiian music from award winning musicians, the presentation of our 2020 HCCNC scholarship awards and their recipients, and the presentation of our 2020 Kūlia I Ka Nu‘u award to the world renowned Sig Zane Designs, led by Sig, Nalani, and Kuhao Zane.

The event will also include an array of prizes to attendees, a virtual online auction of curated items that you’ll love, and an appearance of a special guest speaker to be announced shortly! Every attendee will be eligible to win a pair of round-trip Southwest Airline tickets as well.

We welcome you to join 300+ people in what will be our signature event of the year, and a landmark event for the HCCNC and our community!

About Sig Zane Designs

Sig Zane Designs is a Hawaiian clothing company that has helped define the style of the aloha shirt for more than three decades. An immersion in strict traditional teaching of dance and ritual, the understanding of the relationship with plant and culture is the foundation to their work. Surfer, fisherman, hula dancer, artist, cultural exponent - reflections of their life are found in each design.

Sig and wife, Nalani Kanakaole, opened the doors to Sig Zane Designs in 1985. Their mission was to educate and share what they knew about their culture. Their son Kūhaʻo carries the torch further into the next generation. Today their stories continue with every product and performance and have become globally renowned in countless organizations across the world including Louis Vutton, Hurley, Howard Hughes, and countless others.

RESERVING Tickets

Gala ticket sales will open to the public shortly and start $20 per person which goes to funding our HCCNC scholarship program. Please share with your family, friends, and network, as we’d love to have them join.

We welcome any additional contributions by individuals and organizations above this amount to help us fund the foundation and program.
