an evening with nainoa thompson

Polynesian Voyaging Society president Nainoa Thompson is making a rare appearance in the SFBA to speak about the 40-year journey of rediscovering ancient Polynesian voyaging and navigation, and how it has ignited a community of leaders, empowered our youth, and created a world-wide movement of global sustainability to preserve our planet for generations to come.

Upcoming Events with the Polynesian Voyaging Society

The HCCNC, in conjunction with the Pacific Islanders Cultural Association (PICA) and the Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association (NCOCA), has created a GoFundMe page to raise donations in order to help provide the necessary amenities at the welcome ceremony and any extras the voyagers may need. To help show our kokua to the PVS and the members of the crew, please consider donating to help cover the costs of the ceremonies at this landmark location in the Bay Area.
