In 1975, Robert Cazimero started an all-male hula school that revolutionized the world of hula. Challenging traditional norms and stereotypes, the gentlemen of Nā Kamalei proved that men, with masculine grace, artful choreography, and contemporary storytelling, brought an entirely new and rich dimension to this ancestral art form.
