In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, everyone is invited to support CHOW FUN: an Asian dine-around to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the Excelsior and OMI neighborhoods in District 11. This event is created because we believe that culture and cuisine are integral elements of a thriving and dynamic community. Experiences like these will affirm and celebrate our heritage, and will help us connect with our larger multi-cultural community. This event will uplift AAPI entrepreneurs and small business owners, and will support the economic recovery of our neighborhoods.
This culinary experience will take place for 8 days on Saturday, May 25 – Saturday, June 1 along the Mission St, Ocean Ave and Geneva Ave business corridors in the Excelsior and OMI, where 55% of the residents identify as Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander.
