The Northern California community welcomes the Polynesian Voyaging Society and Hōkūleʻa (hokulea.com) at the San Francisco Aquatic Park on Sunday, September 24, 2023, (noon - 3:00 p.m.). Everyone is invited to attend this momentous occasion as the Hōkūleʻa visits San Francisco as part of its Moananuiākea Voyage. While the Hōkūleʻa crew is in San Francisco, everyone is also invited to spend an evening with Nainoa Thompson, Pwo Navigator and CEO of Polynesian Voyaging Society, at the San Francisco Herbst Theater on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Hawai‘i Chamber of Commerce of Northern California, Pacific Islanders' Cultural Association, Ho‘omau Foundation, APA Heritage Foundation, and donor Amy Chung are co-sponsors of Mr. Thompson's talk.
Come early to grab food & drinks at the the theatre concession which opens at 4:30, Bring your reusable water container, as no other food & drinks are allowed in the theater.
