Join the HCCNC for a talk story & virtual mixer with Faith Ako, the California Bay Area's premier female artist in Traditional & Contemporary Hawaiian music. Faith embodies the true spirit of aloha, while currently her latest album Ku'u 'aina Aloha is a Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards 2021 finalist nominee.
We’ll kick off the event in discussion with Faith about her story of growing up on Oahu’s North Shore, lifelong passion of family, music, culture, and her journey to the becoming a leading figure in the Bay Area music scene. Following the discussion, we’ll open up to the audience for questions and shout-outs, and (fingers crossed) a song or two from Faith.
